Not every massage needs to be intense. Our Full Body Massage in Da Nang is designed for people who want their whole body looked after in one session — back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs and feet — at a pressure that feels good rather than challenging.

It is the most balanced option on our menu. The therapist uses long, flowing strokes to help you relax, with a little more focus on the areas where most people carry everyday tension, such as the upper back and neck. Pressure is usually light to medium and is always adjusted to your preference, so it suits first-time massage guests as well as regulars.

If you are training hard or have one specific problem area, a more targeted treatment such as sports massage or deep tissue massage may suit you better. If you simply want to unwind after a flight, a work week or a long day exploring the city and beaches, this is a professional massage that covers it all.

The technique

What a balanced full body massage includes

The session is built around classic massage techniques: effleurage (long gliding strokes) to warm the tissue and spread the oil, petrissage (kneading and rolling) to work the larger muscles, and gentle compressions and stretches to help joints feel more mobile. The rhythm is steady and unhurried, which is a big part of what makes it relaxing.

The therapist works through the body in a logical sequence — usually back and shoulders first, then the backs of the legs, then turning over for the fronts of the legs, arms, hands, neck and sometimes the scalp. Every area receives attention, rather than the whole session being spent on one spot.

Pressure sits mostly in the light-to-medium range. Within that, the therapist can spend a little longer and work a little firmer on common tension points such as the upper trapezius, the muscles between the shoulder blades and the calves, while keeping the overall feel calm and comfortable.

Many people find a full body massage helps them feel more relaxed, sleep better and simply feel more comfortable in their body. It is a wellness and relaxation treatment, and is not intended to diagnose or treat any injury or medical condition.

Who it is for

  • Travellers recovering from long flights, jet lag and days of walking or sightseeing
  • First-time massage guests who want a gentle, comfortable introduction
  • Expats and remote workers with general tension from screens, stress and long hours
  • Anyone who prefers relaxing, flowing pressure over intense deep work
  • Couples or friends looking for a calm treatment to enjoy during their stay in Da Nang
  • Active people on a rest day who want overall relaxation rather than targeted recovery

Target muscle areas

Back and spine muscles
Long strokes along the erector spinae and across the latissimus dorsi help the whole back relax and set the tone for the rest of the session.
Neck and shoulders
The upper trapezius, levator scapulae and the muscles at the base of the skull often hold everyday stress. They receive gentle, focused attention.
Arms and hands
The forearm muscles and hands work constantly with phones, keyboards and luggage. Kneading and gentle stretches can leave them feeling lighter.
Glutes and hips
The gluteal muscles can feel tight after long periods of sitting on planes and buses. Broad, comfortable pressure helps them relax.
Thighs
The quadriceps and hamstrings are worked with long, flowing strokes, which many people find especially soothing after walking or cycling around the city.
Calves and feet
The calves and the soles of the feet take the load of every step. Massaging them can feel especially welcome after a day on your feet.

What to expect

  1. 01

    Arrival and consultation

We ask how you are feeling, whether there are areas you would like more or less focus on, and about any health conditions, injuries or pregnancy we should know about.

  2. 02

    Choosing your pressure

You tell us how firm you like your massage. The default is light to medium, and you can ask for more or less at any point during the session.

  3. 03

    Settling in

You lie on the massage table and are covered with a towel or sheet throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered.

  4. 04

    The massage

The therapist works through your back, shoulders, legs, arms, neck and feet in a calm, steady rhythm, using oil and a mix of gliding, kneading and gentle stretching.

  5. 05

    Finishing

The session usually ends with slow, light strokes so you can come back gradually. Take your time before getting up.

  6. 06

    After your session

Have some water, and let us know how the pressure felt so we can tailor your next visit. Session lengths and prices are shown on our [pricing](/pricing) page.

Full body vs sports vs deep tissue massage

Full body massage is relaxation-oriented and balanced. It covers the whole body evenly at light to medium pressure, with the main goal of helping you unwind and feel comfortable. It is the best place to start if you are unsure what you need.

Sports massage is goal-driven. It focuses on the muscles you use in your sport or training — for example the legs for runners or the shoulders for swimmers — and combines targeted pressure with stretching. The pressure is often firmer and the session is planned around your training and recovery rather than relaxation alone.

Deep tissue massage uses slow, firm, sustained pressure to reach deeper muscle layers in specific areas of chronic tightness. It can feel intense and some tenderness the next day is common. If you would like something stronger than this full body massage, ask our team for advice when you book an appointment.

Aftercare

  • Drink some water and give yourself a few quiet minutes before heading back out into the heat.
  • Avoid heavy meals, alcohol and intense exercise straight after your massage so you can enjoy the relaxed feeling.
  • A warm (not very hot) shower later in the day can help you stay relaxed; you may want to rinse off excess oil.
  • If you feel any mild soreness, gentle movement such as an easy walk is usually more helpful than staying completely still.

Before you book

  • Please tell us if you are pregnant; we can adapt positioning and pressure, and suggest checking with your doctor first.
  • Consult your doctor before booking if you have a blood clotting disorder, take anticoagulants, or have a history of deep vein thrombosis.
  • We avoid massaging over broken, sunburnt or irritated skin, varicose veins, and areas of recent injury or surgery.
  • Please reschedule if you have a fever, an infection or feel unwell.
  • People with diabetes affecting sensation in the skin, or other chronic conditions, should seek medical advice and let the therapist know.
  • Massage is not a substitute for medical care. If you have pain that is severe, sudden or getting worse, please see a doctor.

Massage is not a medical treatment. If you have an injury or medical condition, please consult a doctor first.

Frequently asked questions

How is a full body massage different from a sports massage?

A full body massage covers your whole body evenly with a relaxing, balanced approach. A sports massage focuses on the muscles you use in training and usually includes firmer, more targeted work and stretching.

Is the pressure strong?

It is usually light to medium, aimed at relaxation. You can ask for firmer or softer pressure at any time. If you want very firm, focused work, a deep tissue massage is a better fit.

Is this a good choice for my first massage?

Yes. A full body massage is the most comfortable and balanced way to try professional massage, and your therapist will check in on pressure throughout.

Do I need to undress completely?

You undress to your comfort level. You are always covered with a towel or sheet, and only the area being massaged is uncovered.

Can I add cupping to a full body massage?

Many people do. A few cups on the upper back can be combined with a relaxing massage. Just let us know when we call to confirm your booking, or mention it to your therapist during the consultation.

How long does a session last and how much does it cost?

We offer several session lengths. Up-to-date durations and prices are always listed on our pricing page.
